OC Templates for Google Docs 2024
This little corner of the web is slowly becoming a hub of Google Doc templates, and I’m OK with that. I’ve shared colorful Google calendar templates, cute journal templates, and even aesthetic font pairings for aesthetic note-taking. Now, I’m sharing OC templates. I’ll admit this is a new category for me, so bear with me as I explain what OC templates are and how you can use them on your own.
OC Templates
So what exactly are OC templates? ‘OC’ stands for ‘original character.’ Writers use OC templates to create detailed descriptions of characters they are envisioning. A section labeled ‘General’ typically covers basic information like the first, middle, and last name, age, and date of birth. ‘Physical’ is where you get to bring the character to life. Is this person short or tall? Do they have tattoos? All of this and more is left up to you to decide. I imagine this helps with careful character creation and development, resulting in a better story. The more thoughtful details you can add, the better and consider sharing with others familiar with this craft.
How to Save OC Templates
You’ll find several OC templates below that are free for you to use. All you have to do is click File in the top left corner followed by Make a copy to save the template to your Google Drive. It’s a pretty easy process to follow once you do it a few times! From here, you can edit the template however you wish. You can add or remove sections, upload images, change the font style, and whatever else you like. All that I ask is to please give credit if you share the template. As always, you’re free to reach out to me with suggestions and feedback. Happy creating!
